555 Number 3

Well, I am slowly moving my way away from the portfolio to the culminating project. This is proving to be a very difficult task for me. Also, I can say that I am currently behind because of it. Instead of working on my culminating experience I have been putting all of my hard working efforts into the portfolio. For some reason I could not begin the end project until the portfolio was finished. To me it just seemed like the order that it should be done in.

I can say that the portfolio experience has allowed me to go back and reflect on all of the things that I have learned at the same time has required me to revisit my past assignments. While reviewing all of my hard work I can actually appreciate all that I have learned. This course of classes has gone by so quickly and it really caused me to lose sight of all that I was learning. Now, I am in a position where I can slow down (kinda) and just reflect.

  1. Hi, Cathy.

It sounds as though you are done with your portfolio! That must be a huge relief for you! I have submitted my culminating experience proposal, but I am still working on organizing artifacts and reflecting on them.

I agree with your assessment of looking back on all the hard work we have done. Revisiting early assignments makes me realize that I have learned quite a bit in this program!

  2. Don't forget the portfolio is a work in progress. I have started the portfolio with the intent that I can continue to add things. The culminating experience is the project that I also put on the back burner, but now have completed it. I guess we all need to focus on one thing at a time or nothing gets done. At least that's the way it is for me.

  3. Isn't that the truth Cathy. I too found that I had really learned a lot in this class upon review of all the things we had done. I wish I would have been more proactive and looked ahead further because it would have helped me be more organized when it came time to re-address evertything but oh well it's done. Good luck on your culminating experience!!!!
