This weeks learning was a little on the uneventful side. Because we covered search engines in the last class in such detail the thought of it alone is enough to bore me. (Not you fault John, Louie was excessive with it!) Also, as far as the Wikipedia debate is concerned... I really could care less. I have no personal peference to the site at all. Yes I do use it however I would not use it as a credible source for a meaningful assignment. I would also not let my students use it as a research reference. Wikipedia like global warming, is something that can be dabated on for days. Personally, it is not worth my time. Till next week!

Hi Catherine, I must be losing it. I know I wrote a comment to your blog entry and now it is not here. Anyway, what I said was that I didn't realize that Louis had covered search engines in depth. Our two courses were both to cover the topic but with the second exposure digging in a little deeper and more reflectively. I'm not crazy about using Wikipedia as a resource either. The one way I require its use is in a report I've required in some courses in which the topics is to evaluate Wikipedia as compared to other resources.
